Tremblant is now one of  Intrawest’s most successful resorts and the number one resort in Eastern North America.

 

Many of our projects at Tremblant have been pre-sold averaging 72% over numerous product types in seven years.

 

FROM CANADA TO THE UNITED STATES

 

“Americans have different expectations than Canadians.  They require more information sooner”

 

The United States is where we have made our mark. Our first project in each new resort has sold at least US$100 per square foot and in some cases US$200-US$300 per square foot higher than the rest of the market.

We continue to have great success; in 72 projects at resorts across the United States we have an average pre-sales rate of 74%.

 

FROM MOUNTAIN RESORTS TO GOLF AND BEACH RESORTS

 

“This won’t work at the beach”

 

In July 1999 Intrawest made its first foray to the beach, innovating again by bringing its pedestrian village concept to a warm weather destination. 220 homes were pre-sold in the first launch at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.  Success that has been repeated at each new launch at Sandestin.

 

FROM NORTH AMERICA TO EUROPE

 

“This will not work in Europe”

 

Les Arcs, France – Our first project in Europe launched in March 2002.  In one day we sold all 122 homes generating US$26M. Since then we have launched three additional buildings with 212 units at an average pre-sale rate of 83%.

 

With our resort sales and marketing methodology proven successful in Europe, we are now expanding our European operations and looking forward to even greater successes.

 

ISLAND RESULTS

 

“This won't work offshore”

 

In 2003 Playground went offshore for the first time. 

 

Our first project was Veranda in the Turks and Caicos. Launch results were impressive US$32M.  Results never before seen in Turks and Caicos.

 

Our second project was Kolea on the Big Island of Hawaii.  Again we achieved remarkable results: US$36M sold in one day, confirming our methodologies work offshore.

 

FRACTIONAL OWNERSHIP

 

“This product doesn’t pre-sell”

 

At Horstman House, an Intrawest Quarter Ownership project, 188 of 204 units (92%) were pre-sold for US$13.4M.  For Legends Phase 1, 208 of 252 units (82%) were pre-sold for US$19.2M; the 176 Phase 2 units were 100% pre-sold amounting to US$18.6M.  At Whistler we have also proven fractional real estate has an active resale market.
